Current state of research and teaching activities

  • 地球温暖化・環境問題に対してクリーンな水素社会を目指した未来社会において、二酸化炭素排出を制限しながらエネルギーを製造・貯蔵・発電するシステム(燃料電池、太陽電池、キャパシタ、電池など)の発電効率を向上させることが必須であります。なかでも反応・電子の受け渡しが実際に行われる触媒の表面(ナノ界面)で、どのような反応が進行し、どうしたらより効率良く反応が進行するか、状況を理解・改善することが重要となります。
    我々は分子・原子スケールで、実際に反応が進行しているナノ界面を直接観察する分析法を開拓し、新たに高効率な触媒の精密合成を目指す研究を遂行しております。水素社会を実現し、温暖化問題・環境問題に対して、化学の力で貢献していくことを目指します。
